How many Members does Gaston Country Club have?
We have approximately 650 Members. Our total capacity for membership is 800.

Do you need to have a Member Sponsor or know a Member to enroll in Membership?
Membership at Gaston Country Club does require approval from our Board of Directors and Membership Committee. We do ask for a Member Sponsor and two Resident Member endorsements. However, if someone is new to the area, the Club will assist by introducing you to Members to ensure compatibility before the application process.

Are there activities for Members who do not play golf?
Yes, Gaston Country Club is a full service country club offering a wide variety of activities from tennis and fitness programs to swimming and children’s activities.

May we bring guests to the Club and if so, what is the policy?
The Club’s guest policy states that all guests of a member or of a dependent of a member must be accompanied by such member or by such dependent while using club facilities or privileges.  Appropriate fees apply for golf, tennis and pool use.

One Member is required in each foursome on the golf course.

How many rounds of golf on average are played at the Club per year?
We average between 18,000 to 20,000 rounds a year on the golf course.

What is the gratuity policy at the Club?
Our Members pay a 18% service charge in the dining rooms and 20% service charge on banquet functions.

Who manages Gaston Country Club?
The General Manager along with the management team run the day-to-day club operations and strive to enhance the value and benefits associated with Membership. Our Board of Directors, composed of elected members, oversee the policies and long-term viability of the Club.

How is residency determined at Gaston Country Club?
Resident members shall consist of persons at least twenty-one (21) years of age who are residents of Gaston County or an adjoining county who own five (5) shares of common stock in the corporation.

Non-Resident Members consist of members who are at least twenty-one (21) years of age and reside in an area of over 20 miles from Gaston Country Club.

How are dues and fees established?
Dues and fees are set annually by the Board of Directors, and are payable in advance on the tenth day of each month. The Board of Directors reserves the right to set the amount payable by members in each class and category.
